English for Speakers of Other Languages
The aims of English classes are to support English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) learners from various ethnic backgrounds to break down language and communication barriers and give them the necessary language skills to integrate more effectively into Irish society. Our ESOL programme also aims to provide all learners and tutors with a platform to assert their culture and individuality with confidence and help heighten an awareness that differences are something which should be appreciated and celebrated.
ESOL courses are offered at beginner, elementary, pre-intermediate and intermediate level. Learners attend day-time classes through the Adult Learning Centre (beginner and elementary level) and evening classes through Community Education (beginner to intermediate level).
