Laois               This Centre was established in 1991. It is a Centre dedicated to providing adults with further or ‘second chance’ education and training opportunities. A wide range of courses are provided, ranging from Foundation/Junior Certificate, through Leaving Certificate with a broad range of subjects on offer, to Post Leaving Certificate courses and Vocational Skills Training.               Mission Statement:        ‘To facilitate learning, personal growth and critical reflection through a working partnership with participants and tutors and to enrich the quality of life for all. To enable participants to engage in life-long learning in an environment of mutual support.’        Curriculum Offered:        1. VTOS (Vocational Training Opportunities Scheme)        Under the VTOS Scheme a student can study any of the full-time courses offered in the Centre: Leaving Certificate Junior Certificate Vocational Skills Programme Post Leaving Certificate Courses        Centre Director: Helen Kavanagh               2. Evening Courses               5. External Training The Centre provides a range of courses geared to meet the changing needs of staff employed by Statutory Agencies and Voluntary Bodies from throughout the County.
